This is Softec’s first ever event that requires a swimming pool! Come join us for an event that will showcase both ground and underwater robots from local high school robotics programs. The high school teams will also present information about their programs.

Promoting early interest and enthusiasm for science and technology is a high priority for Softec, so it has made cash grants to high-school robotics programs for years, totaling almost $14,000 to date. (See awardees for the years 2009/10, and 2010/11.)
For student, faculty, and parent members of the presenting teams attending the program but not wishing to have dinner, there is no charge, and no need to register or RSVP
IF YOU ARE A DONOR or SUPPORTER: Contributions to robotics can now be tax-deductible as a charitable contribution (in addition to any other available basis for deductibility such as a business expense), through Softec’s Technology Education Fund with the San Luis Obispo County Community Foundation, a 501c(3) exempt organization. See further details on how to donate to the Softec robotics-support program. Please contact us with your pledges no later than October 30, 2011, or present it at the Showcase on October 26!
A special thank-you to our event sponsor Kennedy Club Fitness
