Softec is a volunteer based, nonprofit organization established to foster and grow the technology industry in the Central Coast. We rely solely on the financial contributions of our partners, sponsors, and members. Over the years, many people have donated time and resources to Softec and we deeply appreciate those efforts.

Here are some of the ways Softec puts your much appreciated financial donation to use:

Host monthly networking events that raise the visibility of the tech industry on the Central Coast, our contribution to the local business community, and features many local businesses
Spotlight local tech businesses, raising awareness of that business and the industry
Partner with SLO EVC, SLO.Net User Group, Santa Maria Manufacturer’s Association, SLOSTC, Slocama, CEO Roundtables, and local chambers to support the local business community and assist these groups with their specific missions
Support the High School Robotics Teams of Arroyo Grande and Atascadero
Represent the tech industry and advocated for public policy that will help the industry thrive locally
Maintain our 1,700 strong email list so we can communicate with our sponsors and members
Expand functionality of the Softec.org website to better support our sponsors and members
Promote our sponsors
Participate in SLO Chamber Mixer Showcase to promote and thank our sponsors for their support

Softec is a nonprofit 501(c)6 organization so your contributions may be tax-deductible. Please check with your tax advisor for more details. In-kind contributions will be considered by the Board of Directors. With your support, Softec can continue to be the leading technology trade association in San Luis Obispo and Northern Santa Barbara Counties.
